We stumbled upon this place and it turned out to be a great find! The location on the northern shore of the magnificent Sognfjord, surrounded by beautiful views, was truly breathtaking. The hotel's proximity to the sea and the beautiful garden added to the charm. The staff provided excellent service, and the room amenities, including heating and a terrace with garden furniture, made our stay even more comfortable. We also enjoyed the delicious meals at the restaurant and the cozy bar/lounge area. The leisure facilities, such as the sauna and the garden area, were a great addition to our stay. we had a fantastic experience here and would highly recommend it to our family and friends.
We would definitely recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

Nice location on the fjord. Clean but worn-out room. Helpful staff
Low value for money. You pay only for your stay at Sognefjord, other facilities are very basic.

Stunning location on the northern shore of the fjord with breathtaking views. The hotel facilities including the cozy rooms, buffet breakfast, and dinner were excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Transportation was easily accessible as the bus stop was just around the corner from the hotel.
No negatives from this place.

The view
Location - it shows to be 50km from Flam but in reality it is more than 100km, close to 2 hours by car. There is a private tunnel on the way that must be passed back and forth which adds another 100Kr to the hotel price, which was the most inflated by our experience of our 8 nights in Norway. In general, the hotel is an old establishment that was not remodeled. The bathroom, for example, reminds a 50th era bathroom.

Arrived much later than hoped for -staff called up to see if we could stretch meal time and they did so.Very nice grounds on fjord and point but we had little time to enjoy it. . As is the case for virtually all rooms in Norway, cost is quite high by Canadian standards.
No complaints. We were served in an area away from the tour group. This made for a more relaxed and quieter setting.

The location of this hotel is simply stunning! We had a room with a view that took our breath away. the buffet breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly. Best aspects: the view from the room was absolutely gorgeous and we enjoyed every moment of it. the breakfast was tasty and had a good selection to choose from.
The hotel itself is in dire need of a renovation. the furnishings and decor are very outdated and the bathroom was not up to par.

Hotel location excellent with stunning views, room spacious and well appointed.
Room not ready when we arrived at 3.30pm, put in alternative room without Fjord view, but moved to original room later in day. No choice of food in restaurant. Swimming pool closed. Despite view and location, poor value at over £200/night, but this may be due to Norwegian costs being higher for a given standard.

The views!!! Also, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. We arrived late with a child, and they went beyond their requirements to ensure that the child had a meal and a great experience.

Incredible Collections and Friendly Staff
During our romantic escape, we were amazed by the unique antique collections in every corner of the hotel, from the lobby to the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even accommodating our dietary restrictions. We also enjoyed the stunning view from the hotel, which added to the overall experience.
The facilities were outdated and some elements of the room and bathroom were not working properly. We also noticed that the cleanliness of our room's bed linen was below par, which was concerning.
